​Baillie and McCafferty to run GB Under-18 Women programme

The British Handball Association has appointed the coaching partnership of Bill Baillie and Gary McCafferty to take charge of the GB Under-18 Women’s team until 2020.

Bill Baillie is one Britain’s most experienced coaches and was assistant GB Men’s Coach with Dragan Djukic at the London 2012 Olympics. He led the GB men’s to their first medal at an EHF Challenge Trophy with a bronze in 1999. He has also guided Warrington Wolves to numerous EHA men’s League and Cup titles, including the double in two of the last three seasons. He is currently England Under-18 Women’s coach.

Gary McCafferty has previously coached GB and Scotland junior and youth team programmes. He coaches Tryst women’s team, one of Scotland’s most successful teams and champions for the past five years.

Bill and Gary will tasked with taking the current Under-17 cohort and preparing them for the 2019 EHF Under-19 European Championship.
