BRITISH HANDBALL SEEKING NEW BOARD MEMBER FOR MARKETING AS MANOLI STEPS DOWN

Post published July 4, 2022 (Updated July 4, 2022)

The British Handball Association (BHA) is seeking a new Non-Executive Independent Director with responsibility for Marketing and Commercial matters, as incumbent Argyro Elisavet Manoli comes to the end of her term and has decided not to apply for a further four years.

Manoli, who is a senior lecturer in Sports Marketing at Loughborough University, has been in her role since 2018, working on sponsorship opportunities, as well as contributing to the wider work of the BHA.

Paul Bray, BHA Chair said: “I would like to thank Elisavet for all her work during this time. I know it has not been easy for a number of reasons, but she has proved supportive of the Board’s work. We wish her and her family the very best and we look forward to seeing her again in the future.”

Argyro Elisavet Manoli, BHA Independent Director (Marketing & Commercial) said: “It was an honour and pleasure to be involved in the board and the wider BHA family for the past four years, working alongside some great individuals who care deeply for the sport. Now that the troubling times are hopefully coming to an end, with life and sport returning to normal, handball can continue its course of growth both commercially and beyond.”

The BHA is now welcoming applications for the role of Non-Executive Independent Director with responsibility for Marketing & Commercial matters until 20 July 2022, with Manoli continuing in her role during the recruitment and handover process for her successor.

Applications should be sent to office@britishhandball.com.
