UK Sport has today announced the outcome of the 2024 Olympic cycle funding applications and British Handball has sadly been unsuccessful in securing ‘Progression Funding’ for the Paris 2024 Olympic Games cycle (2021-2024). However, while unsuccessful in its full funding bid, British Handball has been advised that it remains in contention for some support from a £3 million ringfenced fund for the remaining 'unfunded' sports and further discussions will take place with UK Sport in January.
Paul Bray, Chair of British Handball commented “Although we have not been awarded the full amount of funding we applied for, we recognise the wider difficult situation at this time. We look forward to the ongoing discussions with UK Sport in the new year and hope that we can secure support funding then”.
