British Handball recruiting national team coaches

The British Handball Association continues to rebuild its GB national team programmes and is recruiting coaches for three of the squads:

GB Under-18 Women’s team coach - Following the resignation of the existing GB U17 Women’s team coach, we are seeking a coach to continue with the programme from next season. The position is offered, subject to annual reviews, until the 2021 U18 European Championship.

GB Senior Men’s team coach - The GB senior men’s team has just competed in the 2017 IHF Emerging Nations Championship under interim coach Ricardo Vasconcelos and is now looking to recruit this position to take the team forward to the 2019 and 2021 Championships.

GB Under-18 Men’s Team Coach - We are looking for a coach to begin a programme with a new cohort of U18s, with the aim of participating in the 2018 and 2020 U18 European Championship.

British Handball receives no UK Sport funding and therefore these programmes would be self-funded, although some expenses may be covered. The BHA continues to seek government and commercial funding for these programme, but this is not guaranteed.

The attached job descriptions outline the target events for each squad and duration of engagement. All three positions would be expected to start immediately.

If you think you have the necessary skills and experience, and are interested in taking up the challenge, then we’d love to hear from you. Download the job description and role details and send your application letter and CV, stating which position(s) you are applying for, to office@britishhandball.com by 11 August 2017.
