The British Handball Association has launched its ‘British Handball Calling’ campaign to find talent from across the world for its men’s and women’s senior, Under 20 and Under 18 teams.

Capitalising on the legacy of the London 2012 Olympic Games, the BHA are putting the call out for current players who are eligible to play for Great Britain.

If you are considering responding to British Handball’s call, then hear what Christian O’Sullivan has to say about the campaign.

Norway’s Christian O’Sullivan took silver at the 2017 and 2019 IHF Men’s World Championship in France, and the centre back, who has certainly made his mark through his club experiences with German side SC Magdeburg and Swedish team IFK Kristianstad, can boast a British Handball history in his family already.

”My father and uncle both played for Great Britain in the 1980s and they passed their passion for handball to me” said O’Sullivan, “It will take hard work to get there, but if you do the work and get the opportunity, it will be a very special experience. Playing with the flag on your chest is the greatest honour you can achieve as a player. Something you will always remember.”
