The British Handball Association has announced that the 2018/19 Men’s British Handball Championship Play-off will take place at Oldham Leisure Centre on 18/19 May 2019. The event will provide the main route for British teams to gain entry to EHF club competitions.
The event, which is this year organised and hosted by the England Handball Association, will again follow a Final-4 structure. The semi-finals will be played on Saturday 18 May, with the Scottish champions playing the English runners-up, and the English Champions playing the Scottish runners-up.
The Final will be played on Sunday 19 May 2018 with the winners lifting the British Champions trophy and earning the right to participate in the EHF Cup the following season. The runners-up will enter the EHF Challenge Cup, together with the losing semi-finalists, who will play-off for the bronze medal on Sunday.
We are working towards establishing a Women's play-off and we will look at starting with a two team play-off next season. The European cup places for the coming season will therefore be allocated via the England Handball Association.
