British Handball recruiting national women’s team coach

Post published March 21, 2018 (Updated March 21, 2018)

A review of the GB Women’s national team has taken place and the British Handball Association is looking to recruit a coach to take the programme forward. The position is offered, subject to annual reviews, until the Summer of 2022.

British Handball receives no UK Sport funding and therefore these programmes would be self-funded, although some expenses may be covered. The BHA continues to seek government and commercial funding for these programme, but this is not guaranteed.

At this time target events for the squads have not been determined, due to the self-funded nature of the programme, and the lack of IHF/EHF subsidised events for this group. However we continue to press the IHF/EHF for the creation of an Emerging Nations Championship event for women, similar to the men’s event and, if created, this would become the milestone event for the squad.

The attached job description outlines the role, key responsibilities and personal profile. The coach recruited to this position would be expected to start immediately.

If you think you have the necessary skills and experience, and are interested in taking up the challenge, then we’d love to hear from you. Download the job description and send your application letter and CV to office@britishhandball.com by 13 April 2018.
