Chris McDermott’s team play hosts for IHF Trophy – European Zone championship title, U20s take on Ireland
Both GB Men’s U18 and U20 teams will be in action in Pristina, Kosovo, at the same time today (3pm UK time) as they continue their IHF Trophy – European Zone campaigns.
Hoping to make history with a championship title will be Chris McDermott’s young side, who face hosts Kosovo in the final of the U18 (Youth) championship, with the winners also sealing a place in the IHF Trophy – Continental Finals to held later this year.
Elsewhere in the city, Bobby White’s Men’s U20 side face a familiar Ireland side, who drew with Malta yesterday, and who GB take on tomorrow in their final match of the U20 competition.
Yesterday, the GB Men’s U20 side went down 33:21 (7:16) against Moldova to put them out of contention for a gold medal, but with Ireland and Malta on just one point each, ahead of GB, wins in their games today and tomorrow will see White’s men on four points and a fourth-placed finish.
