GB Men's U20's head to Belgium

The Great Britain U20 Men’s Handball squad will embark on a crucial competitive training camp in Lokeren, Belgium, as they ramp up preparations for a major year of international competition in 2026.

The intensive three-day schedule, which runs from Wednesday, 17th December to Friday, 19th December, is designed to provide the squad with high-level match experience and valuable team cohesion ahead of their key tournaments next year.

The camp, based at the Jeugd-en Sports complex in Lokeren, features a tight schedule of training sessions, team meetings, and competitive fixtures against the national squads of Belgium and Kosovo, and Luxembourg

Key Fixtures:

  • Wednesday, 17th December (20:00): Game against BEL v GBR
  • Thursday, 18th December (18:00): Game against KOS v GBR
  • Friday, 19th December (10:30): Game against LUX v GBR

This camp represents an excellent opportunity for the players to implement tactical plans and build chemistry under match pressure.

Preparation for a Crucial Year

The U20 squad will move into their competitive year in 2026 with two significant international events: the EHF Euros and the IHF Trophy.

  • Both the European Men's U-20 Europeans and the IHF Trophy provides a vital pathway for development and competitive exposure on the world stage.

This highly competitive training camp in Belgium, complete with challenging matches against established national teams, will give the young GB athletes with the best possible preparation for the demands of the upcoming EHF Euros and IHF Trophy campaigns.
