The GB U20's squad is heading to Luxembourg for a competitive training camp and friendly competition. They'll be in the country from Thursday 17th August-Sunday 20th, getting an intense weekend of training and competitive matches.
There will be 3 training sessions across Thursday and Friday, followed by 3 games against strong opponents:
Saturday (19th)
- 14.30h GB20 vs Eupen
- 17h HC Berchem - GB20 (HCB has 9 U20 Luxembourg national team players which our squad will likely face at Europeans next year).
Sunday (20th): 12h GB20 vs Dilingam
Head Coach Zoran Lukacs says, "We are very excited about the trip to Luxembourg. This is our second stage in our preparation cycle for the European Championships next year, and after the Portugal tournament, this will give us the new experience and exposure that we need. The boys are starting to understand what it takes and means to be a competitive national team and how hard we have to work for that, which is great to see in all the progress we are making. There are no limits on how far this group of great boys can reach, it all depends on us! We have to continue believing and working hard."
