The GB Men's U20 squad is travelling to Portugal for the Penedono Cup. The team will fly on Thursday 22nd June in preparation for the start of the competition on Friday. They'll have four matches across the weekend before returning on June 26th. Special thanks to Club Penedono for hosting us for this event. Your generosity brings a great opportunity for this group of athletes.
This group of players have been building the foundations of the squad in recent months with coach Zoran and his team, following the success of the old M20 squad in Costa Rica. This will be their first competitive experience as Zoran aims to build up their match exposure across the year.

Head Coach Zoran Lukacs says, "This is the first goal with the 04/05 generation and we have been working hard to improve the fitness level for all players, and build a good foundation for what comes next. The recent April camp showed a great level of fitness and now we can provide them with exposure to different types of games and situations across a series of events. This tournament in Portugal (June) is first, followed by a competition in Luxembourg (August) and after a camp in Scotland (September). Building the skills to deal with challenges and providing tools for development to all 04/05 players is the aim of this season."
Assistant coach Dani Ramos will be leading the squad in Portugal with the support staff while Zoran completes his EHF Masters level coaching award.
