GB men’s under-21s made it two wins from two and booked their place in the semi-finals of the IHF Trophy with an emphatic 47-12 victory over Albania.
Early goals from Oliver Bray helped GB overcome a slow start. However, GB soon found their rhythm and went into the break with a comprehensive 22-6 lead.
GB impressed at both ends of the court, looking particularly solid at the back with a tall 6:0 defence that Albanian struggled to break down.
Chris White impressed in attack, finding the net 10 times, while Bray delivered another strong performance on the wing with seven goals.
Assistant Coach Chris McDermott said: “We knew going into this match that we would need to be disciplined and professional throughout. The team delivered and should be really happy with their performance.
“Naturally the team are thrilled to be a guaranteed a place in the semi-finals. However, we are still firmly focused on tomorrow's game against a strong Georgian side.” GB face Georgia in their final group match on 10 November at 12:00.
