The Great Britain Women's U17s squad are beginning their final preparations for The EHF Championship in Turkey in August. The squad will travel to Ankara for what will be the first experience of International Handball for the majority of the squad. The competition begins on 5th August, with Great Britain drawn to face Austria, Italy, Latvia and hosts Turkey in the initial group phase. The group phases will run from 5th August-10th, and following a rest day, the placement matches will occur.
Head Coach Matt Durber says "The whole team is very excited about this competition and the opportunity to test ourselves on the international stage. This will be the first international competition for the majority of the players, but we have been working towards this event for the last 2 years and feel confident that the team will rise to the challenge"
