Great Britain's Senior Mens Squad head to Portugal

The senior men's squad head to Lagoa in Portugal for an intensive 5 day training camp. British Handball are greatly for the support of club team AC Lagoa and the city council CM Lagoa.

After arriving on Wednesday morning, the squad will be straight into training in the afternoon. It'll follow with three days of training and matches, twice against AC Lagao and once against SL Benfica 'B'. They will finish up the camp with another training session, before flying home on Sunday 16th October.

Head Coach Ricardo says:

“With the Euro Qualifiers (January) and the Emerging Nations (April/May) fast approaching, it is fundamental to get the team together to consolidate concepts, observe new players and increase the exposure to good level of opposition.

We feel this could be a very important cycle for us, and we do not want to take any chances with our preparation. We found the perfect context to do so in Lagoa, with everything we need and all the support from the local stakeholders, to whom I would like to publicly thank.”
