The British Handball Association has appointed Ciaran Williams as coach of the GB Under-18 Men’s team until 2020.

Ciaran Williams played 46 times for GB, scoring 76 goals, and was part of the London 2012 Olympic team. He has played for clubs in Denmark and Germany.

He coached Kolbotn boy’s team to the Norwegian national Under-16 title in 2016 and has just been appointed to coach St Hallvard’s Under-21 men’s team.

He will be tasked with preparing the team for the EHF Under-18 European Championship in Tulln, Austria, next August.

Jason Lee, British Handball’s Director (Performance) commented: “Ciaran brings great experience from his GB playing days and his more recent coaching experience in Norway. His success in Norway is a testament to his ability and we feel his style will be well suited to the GB Under-18 Men’s team.”
