​British Handball appoints new Independent Board Director

The British Handball Association (BHA) has appointed Stuart Larman as Independent Non- Executive Director (Marketing & Commercial) to its Board, with immediate effect.

Stuart comes from a professional football background, he has previously worked with FIFA on developing their infrastructure programmes, then more recently led the Asian Football Confederation’s (AFC) Development Department, restructuring the regional league and club development programmes. He was instrumental in developing a range of other programmes designed to develop the AFC’s member associations. He was then recruited to lead club development and licensing for the UAE Pro League andis also the founder of Dream Fields, a sustainable sports community sport Non-Profit Organisation.

Commenting on his appointment, new BHA Director (Marketing & Commercial) Stuart Larman said: “It’s a very exciting time to join the Board of British Handball with the national teams

continuing to reach new highs and the popularity of handball increasing throughout the country. With my experience with football associations, leagues and clubs globally, I am

confident that I can work closely with the rest of the BHA Board to provide a strong basis for further growth and success in the coming decades.”

Commenting on the appointment of Stuart Larman, BHA Chair Paul Bray said: “We are delighted to welcome Stuart Larman onto our Board. He has extensive experience in the sports marketing and commercial sector, that will be invaluable to British Handball. He has held senior positions in continental football flagship programmes, that will stand him in good stead as we seek to develop handball’s commercial foundation”.
