Post published October 22, 2021 (Updated October 22, 2021)

The British Handball Association (‘BHA’) is the governing body for high-performance international handball in the UK. It is responsible for the Great Britain national teams at all age groups, as well as elite coaching. The England Handball Association and Scottish Handball Association are the BHA’s sole members, and are responsible for the grassroots development of the sport, as well as national and regional league and cup competitions, in their respective countries.

The BHA has recently secured National Squads Support Funding (NSSF) from UK Sport of up to £375K over four years targeted at enhancing the performance of our Senior Men’s and Women’s squads. This funding brings with it conditions across safeguarding, anti-doping, financial management, corporate governance, equality & inclusion, athlete engagement, coaching and development.

This new part-time role will be responsible for leading the operational planning and implementation of these requirements, including quarterly progress reports to UK Sport.

The salary is £25,000 pro-rata (~ 1 day/week, IR35 compliant self-employed contract), and will be mainly based from home, with occasional travel to UK-based training camps.
